Join us in Temple 10 at Freemasons’ Hall for our December meeting followed by reception drink of choice, 3 course meal and wine in The Grand Connaught Rooms next door.

At this meeting we are very please to have a visit from Mark Smith who regularly appears on television in programmes such as Antiques Roadshow where he is able to impart his knowledge on military medals etc. Mark is a very good lecturer and is an expert in this subject. We will be receiving a talk from him on “The War to End all Wars – the End of WW1 ” Many of you will have seen Mark give a talk on “For Valour the Story of the Victoria Cross” I am told this talk is just as good.

The meeting is open to ALL masons (Entered Apprentice upwards) registered under the UGLE. If you are not sure if that applies to you, please contact us BEFORE making your booking as you will not be permitted entry on the day if you are not a subscribing Freemason of a regularly constituted lodge under the register of the United Grand Lodge of England.

The menu, including 1/3 of a bottle of wine, is:

Starter – Chicken liver & Port parfait, fennel crisp, tossed mesclun salad.

Vegetarian Option – Cauliflower with garlic crouton and chopped parsley.


Main Course – Barbary duck breast marinated in orange and star anise then slow cooked. Braised Belgium endive, purple heritage carrots, truffle scented dauphinoise potatoes, a rich burgundy red wine sauce.

Vegetarian Option – Beetroot and red onion tartan.


Dessert – French Cotillon chocolate Christmas cake.

followed by

Coffee and after dinner mints.

Booking Instructions

In the comments section you can add any further information about your booking. Please remember to select your preferred drink option.

Receipt of your booking request will be acknowledged via email. If dining with us then your booking will remain PENDING until payment of £48.00 per diner has been received via BACS transfer. Payment instructions will be sent in our acknowledgement email.
